DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are searching for an unnamed gunman who allegedly killed one man and wounded another outside a Dekalb County AutoZone.
Police did not publicly release the name of the suspect accused of opening fire Thursday. He remains at large.
Meanwhile, Dekalb County police on Monday identified the slain man as 24-year-old Monterrance Thomas. A second man, 21-year-old Michael Stewart, was also injured in the attack.
Thomas' father told Channel 2 that the person who murdered his son stole musical equipment from Monterrance six months ago. The two came across each other Thursday after bumping shoulders at the store. Trishell Stewart told Channel 2 Action News that her brother, Michael, went to the store to buy a battery.
Both men were shot as they approached the front door of the store.
