WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C.,None — Police said an Atlanta man died after he fell from a fifth floor balcony at a hotel along the North Carolina coast.
Investigators we called to the Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday after police were alerted to the fall.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Kevin Gunnin, 30, of Atlanta, lying on the ground.
Gunnin was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigator said the incident appears to be an accident at this time.
