3 Found Dead Inside Suwanee Apartment

SUWANEE, Ga. — Homicide detectives spent Wednesday morning sorting out a shooting that left three people dead inside a Suwanee apartment complex.

Officers found the bodies inside a unit on McGinnis Ferry Road late Tuesday night.

Detectives in Suwanee worked the case of the shooting deaths overnight. It is something they rarely have to deal with.

"We have been approximately 47, 48, 49 years with only one murder," said Captain Clyde Beyers of the Suwanee Police Department.

The shooting took place inside a unit at the AMLI at McGinnis Ferry Apartments.

"When officers arrived on the scene they found three individuals deceased in the apartment," said Beyers.

Two women and a man were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives gathered evidence at the scene and told Channel 2 Action News it may be a case of murder-suicide. Police said they believe the shootings were possibly sparked by an argument.

"We believe it to be domestic-related," said Beyers.

Police have not said who they believe the shooter to be.

Officials have not yet released the names of the victims.
