BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Barrow County have arrested 29 people in a large-scale drug roundup.
Officers said the arrests follow an investigation that involved more than 40 law enforcement agencies throughout the state.
Investigators from Barrow and Winder counties made about 80 undercover drug purchases over the last few months, according to authorities.
Tuesday, sheriff's deputies said they began serving arrest warrants on 40 individuals involved in the operations.
By the end of Tuesday they said 29 people had been arrested in the sting. The sheriff's office said it is looking for the 11 remaining individuals.
