Channel 2 Investigates

Client injured in waxing procedure settles case against salon

Consumer Investigator Jim Strickland speaks with a local woman who says she was scarred for life after receiving a Brazilian wax from a metro salon.

A waxing client whose genitals were maimed during a Brazilian procedure has settled her case against a local salon.

Channel 2 consumer investigator Jim Strickland exposed Hair Images Salon's troubled history, including a finding by a state inspector that some employees were not properly licensed.

"I do want my case to mean something. I feel this happened for a reason," client Eliisheva Williams said.
Williams is not saying how much she settled for, but her lawyer says Channel 2's investigation made a difference.
"We were able to receive a recovery for her that was 35 times what the initial offer was," attorney Susan Witt-Langlais said.
The settlement includes provisions that Williams can openly discuss her story.
"If there's some new legislation that needs to be passed, she wants to be at the forefront of that," Witt-Langlais said.
Salon operator Feroz Aladin refused to speak when Strickland visited Friday afternoon.
He maintains his wife, a licensed cosmetologist, is the one who waxed Williams.
