Parties, events for New Year’s Eve around Atlanta

When the world welcomes in 2021, its arrival will look much different compared to New Year’s celebrations of years gone by. While many of the massive events and parties have been called off this year, there is still plenty to do if you choose.

Here are some New Year’s Eve events happening around Atlanta. As with any events going on now, it’s best to always take a mask as some gatherings do require them.

For Families:

The 12South Band and DJ Jammin’ John will keep the mood festive in the Plaza starting at 9 p.m., culminating with an aerial firework display over Truist Park at midnight. Parking is free in the public decks (Red, Purple and Green) starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 until 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1.

Save the date for The Roof’s fourth annual Noon Year’s Eve! Skyline Park and 9 Mile Station will host a family-friendly celebration for parents and children of all ages to ring in 2021 as guests count down to noon. Families and children are invited to enjoy early New Year’s Eve fun on The Roof including unlimited boardwalk-style games and rides, special entertainment and more! Tickets are $25 for all ages (3yr and under are free) and can be purchased in advance. Ice skating tickets can be added at the door for an additional $10.

The festive celebration will include a family friendly DJ, socially distanced dancing, noise makers and party hat arts and crafts, DIY bubble solution and, of course, the Museum’s signature bubble-wrap-popping tradition! Each session also features its own confetti countdown to 2021! Families are invited to attend Bubble Bash with three limited-capacity celebrations: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

For Adults:

The all-inclusive, sparkling festivities will begin at 9 p.m. and include select craft cocktails, beer and wine until 12 a.m., a Cantine Povero’s Belvive champagne toast, individually boxed gourmet meals, a variety of games, live DJ performance and so much more. For ages 21 and up, tickets are available for $50 per person.

The three-venue sports bar is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve celebration with limited capacity in a safe, socially distanced environment. Packages include a masquerade themed event with local entertainment from host Blake Eason, a balloon drop and a midnight champagne toast, featuring a ball drop on the 32-foot LED screen!

The live music venue will host two DJs for a late night full of pop, dance and country rock party hits! A limited number of advanced tickets are available and include admission, party favors and a complimentary midnight champagne toast. Select VIP tables with bottle service available.

Toast to 2021 at Park Tavern this New Year’s Eve on Thursday, December 31st for an all-inclusive event featuring open bars, music, bites, and of course, champagne. From 9 p.m. until 2 a.m., partygoers are welcomed to two floors of NYE fun with live music from Davis & The Love on the main stage and a DJ in the Piedmont Room all night long. Come midnight, revelers will be treated to a champagne toast and midnight breakfast buffet with everything from breakfast burritos to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Hotel guests can join the luxury hotel for a private, socially distanced countdown to 2021 on the rooftop pool deck. The celebration begins with party favors and a special welcome amenity, in addition to luxurious accommodations with views of The Battery Atlanta from guest rooms. Pool deck festivities include a live DJ, complimentary passed desserts and midnight champagne toast and cash bar. Package availability will be limited to ensure social distancing on the pool deck.

Dance the night away at Johnny’s Hideaway this New Year’s Eve. Reserve a table for $200. The cost also includes party favors.

The Alpharetta establishment invites patrons to spend the last day of 2020 enjoying fresh beach food and live music under their heated, holiday-themed patio nestled in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. Hungry diners and imbibers can dive into saltwater staples, elevated proteins, fresh produce and boozy beach cocktails that recreate the bright and bold tastes of summer while swaying along to a live acoustic music performance by Josh Jeffords from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The Roswell eatery rocks out of 2020 with a New Year’s Eve bash for guests 21 and over. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the first-come, first-served event featuring Justin Borgman performing at 9:30 and drink specials. The cover charge is $5.

The Brasserie at PARISH, conveniently located right off the BeltLine in lively Inman Park, welcomes guests to a merry and upbeat outing to bring in the new year with a Miracle on Highland Thursday, December 31st from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Merrymakers can countdown with family and friends while appreciating themed cocktails such as the Christmaspolitan, Jingle Balls Nog, and Gingerbread Flip, along with the full PARISH dinner menu.

Ring in 2021 with music and delicious tavern fare at HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern. The Brookhaven and Perimeter locations boast live music, a dance floor and party favors and are serving the regular menu along with a prime rib special and Champagne flight and bourbon flight specials. The Halcyon location in Alpharetta is offering the same specials plus a DJ downstairs and a live band upstairs at HOBNOB HIGH UP for those 21 and older. Music starts at 8 p.m.

Hungry guests are invited to enjoy a fiery New Year’s Eve dinner at TWO urban licks that’s carefully curated by Executive Chef Matt Weinstein on Thursday, December 31 from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.  The evening will feature signature favorites, including Salmon Chips, Deviled Oysters, Burrata, Smoked Mushroom Enchiladas, Prime Filet Mignon and more along with a live music performance from The Backyard Birds and a balloon drop at midnight.

Start off the New Year right at STK Atlanta with delectable dishes, New Year’s Eve specials, champagne, and music. Guests are invited to indulge in the full menu or take advantage of the special New year’s Eve menu that includes Japanese Toriyama Filet, a Wagyu Tasting Board, Oysters Champagne Gratin, King Crab & Caviar, Holiday Surf & Turf, Seared Sea Scallops & Black Truffle and more. Revelers with a sweet tooth can finish off their meal with a scrumptious dessert of chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, STK’s signature Bag O’ Donuts, Cheesecake or a Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie.
