Award-winning haunted attraction returns with 3 haunts

Dread Hollow (Dread Hollow)

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Award-winning Dread Hollow returns in October with three new immersive haunt experiences, three challenging horror-themed escape rooms, and the promised return of the “Buried Alive” coffin simulator. The 25,000 square-foot indoor entertainment complex will be open for the fall season October 1 – 31, Thursday – Sunday evenings.

Fear-seekers will come face-to-face with sinister special effects, ominous scare actors and intense set designs.

Todd Patton, co-creator of Dread Hollow, explains, “Visitors to Dread Hollow 2021 take a dark journey through the tomb of the damned at the massacre site of condemned Ravens Gate Prison, brave crossing the deranged Harker clan’s kill zones and attempt to escape unscathed from gruesome Hyde Island where trespassing vloggers confirmed rumors of unimaginable creatures and savage carnage before disappearing.”

Dread Hollow consistently ranks among the best haunts nationwide and in Tennessee. Named #1 in the nation on ScurryFace.com 2020 Red Tie Top 10, a Top 5 Must-See Haunt in Tennessee by TheScareFactor.com in 2019, and the #1 fan-voted haunt in the nation on ScurryFace.com in 2018. The Southeast Tourism Society selected Dread Hollow as a Top 20 event in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017.

The haunt is not recommended for visitors under the age of 12 due to its graphic theming and intensity,” shares Kara Van Brunt, executive director of Ruby Falls. “Now in our 18th year of presenting one of the nation’s top-rated haunted attractions, we’re thrilled to welcome new and long-time fans to the long legacy of terror!”

To encourage physical distancing, all tickets are for a specific date and time of entry. Tickets will sell out quickly in many timeslots. To ensure availability, visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online soon.

Tickets for Dread Hollow and Deliverance Escape Rooms are available at www.dreadhollow.com. Tickets are sold online only. Walkup tickets are not available at the door. Masks are recommended regardless of vaccination status based on current CDC recommendation
