HONOLULU — Bail bondswoman Beth Chapman, the wife of Duane "Dog" Chapman, has died after being placed in a medically induced coma, her husband confirmed.
Beth Chapman had been battling Stage 2 throat cancer for years, first revealing her diagnosis in 2017 in the A&E special, "Dog & Beth: Fight of their Lives." In that same special, the Chapmans said the cancer was successfully removed.
In November 2018, her cancer returned and had spread to her lungs, Us Weekly reported. Chapman underwent emergency surgery and started treatment that December.
Dog and Beth Chapman were married for 12 years. Their lives and work were chronicled in the A&E reality TV series, "Dog the Bounty Hunter." Beth Chapman was the bondswoman at the family's Da Kine Bail Bonds business in Honolulu, Hawaii. The business closed earlier this year.
After "Dog the Bounty Hunter" ended after eight seasons in 2012 they had three seasons of a spin-off show, "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt," on CMT. The spin-off aired for three seasons from 2013 to 2015.
