Chris Jose

Chris Jose is an award-winning journalist, he started at WSB in March 2017. 

Prior to his arrival, Chris was a reporter at KXAS TV in Dallas-Fort Worth. Chris reported extensively on the July 7th Dallas Police sniper shootings which killed five officers. He was also on the ground for numerous tornados, including an EF5 which barreled through North Texas.  

Chris was previously an anchor/reporter at television duopoly KDVR/KWGN in Denver. In his five years there, Chris covered every major news story in Colorado including the Aurora Theater Shooting, the legalization of recreational marijuana, historic floods and wildfires, and the Broncos run to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Chris has won several awards, including three regional Emmy nominations for his reporting. The Colorado Broadcasters Association has recognized his work twice. In 2008, Chris was named Best Anchor by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.

Chris began his career as a weekend anchor/reporter at KGWN TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming and later spent two years at KGAN TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa serving as the station’s weekend sports anchor/news reporter.

He graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

In his free time, Chris enjoys working on his below average golf game, running slow and dining generously. He loves exploring Atlanta with his wife, dog, and twin babies.

Chris is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
