Luke Hetrick joined the WSB-TV sports team officially in December of 2025.   Prior to Channel 2, he spent five years as the main sports anchor at Spectrum News 13 in Orlando, FL. He served as the station’s Orlando Magic and Florida Gators beat reporter while specializing in feature storytelling and hosting a nightly 30-minute show. Luke began his career at WGXA in Macon, GA as the lead sports anchor/reporter. After two years in Middle Georgia he spent time at the local FOX-affiliate in Atlanta before heading to the Sunshine State.   He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA before receiving his master’s in sports communications and media from Sacred Heart University.   Luke joins Channel 2 as the ultimate team player. In addition to reporting and anchoring weekly sportscasts, he contributes to Channel 2’s Sports Zone Sunday, GameDay on 2 and SEC GameDay.   While he’s called the Southeast home for his career, Luke hails from Western Pennsylvania. Family comes first to him, but you can find Luke at the gym or experimenting with new recipes.
