ATLANTA — With a blast of cold air pushing through, a freeze warning will go into effect for north Georgia at midnight.
Meteorologist Brad Nitz says many people will wake up Wednesday morning to temperatures near or below freezing.

Here’s what you need to know:
- The freeze warning will be in effect for the areas in purple from midnight until 9 a.m.
- Before you go to bed, make sure to bring your pets and sensitive plants inside.
- Also check on any exposed pipes that could be prone to freezing.
- Temps will climb until 60s by Wednesday afternoon, which is about average this time of year.
