Women Attacked At Buckhead Gas Stations

ATLANTA — Atlanta police have released a sketch of a gunman who is attacking women at local gas stations.

The first woman was robbed of her credit cards, cash and car keys at an Exxon station on West Paces Ferry Road last week.

She said the man put a gun to her stomach and threatened to kill her if she screamed. He then took off in a newer model Lexus.

A half hour later, police said another woman was attacked in Buckhead. She told Channel 2 Action News reporter Tony Thomas that she was able to scare him off.

"(I) got into my car and (was) shutting the door and there was a gun in my face, in my jaw. He was very quiet," said the second victim.

Detectives said they are also checking with Sandy Springs police about a possible connection with a case there.

The robber is described as a white, or possibly bi-racial, man with a slim build, between 5 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
