ATLANTA,None — A woman was found shot to death Wednesday afternoon at a Buckhead apartment complex and Atlanta police investigators said they believe she was the intended target, said a police spokesman.
The woman, who was identified as 33-year-old Zaquavia Kingsberry, was found in a fourth-floor apartment at the Gramercy at Buckhead Apartments in the 3300 block of Roswell Road.
Channel 2 Action News assignment editors e-mailed Atlanta police for more details on the shooting, while Channel 2 Action News reporter Eric Philips worked to gather more details at the scene.
Philips learned that the victim's boyfriend arrived home and found her body in the apartment and that the woman was shot at least twice in the head, according to investigators. The apartment belongs to the victim's boyfriend, police said.
Investigators said it appears that someone forced their way into the unit.
The situation has residents in the area on edge.
"We're not used to stuff like that," said Stacy Rector, who also lives at the complex.
