ATLANTA — "I commend the jury for their service on some very difficult and complex issues. I stood for equal opportunity and diversity, as stated in an article by their lawyer, Mike Bowers years ago. And I stand for equal opportunity and diversity now. The verdict has made me more determined to see that persons of all backgrounds, races, and genders are included at the table of opportunity.
I am campaigning for jobs for everyone. And that excludes no one. I want the people of the 4th Congressional District to have prosperity! And lawsuits will not deter me from making sure that those who have been shut out and kept out are included.
Once again, I have been tried by fire and I have prevailed. It lets me know God is still in control. I pray that God will bless the 4th district, the State of Georgia, and the United States of America."
