Underground Atlanta Girl Fight Caught On Tape

ATLANTA,None — Video recorded at Underground Atlanta showed an out-of-control fight involving several teenage girls.

Channel 2's Ryan Young received a tip on Facebook and spent the day trying to find out why security never broke up the fight.

The fight lasted more than two minutes, and escalated when one of the girls grabbed a chair to use as a weapon. At one point on the tape, someone was heard yelling "police, police, security, security". It is not known when the tape was recorded, or who the teens are.

Channel 2 found plenty of security at underground on Tuesday afternoon. Recent crime numbers show crime dropped 9 percent at the downtown tourist attraction, according to Atlanta Police records.

In a statement, Underground Atlanta management said, "Security is a priority to Underground Atlanta and its surrounding areas. We don't tolerate this type of behavior and are actively looking into the incident with our third party security company and tenants."

Visitors who talked to Young said the video can tarnish the image of the downtown attraction. "It's scary to come with my family if this could happen and no one to intervene or to help. Scary to bring children into that environment," said one visitor.
