Trump could be discharged Monday from Walter Reed

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is continuing to recover well and could be discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Monday to continue treatment at the White House, Dr. Sean Conley said.

Trump was administered the steroid dexamethasone and given a second dose of remdesivir Saturday, his medical staff said. He has not shown any side effects and will continue the five-day course of the treatment. Trump’s treatment has also included the experimental drug Regeneron in addition to various over-the-counter medications.

Conley said the president “feels well” and that they are getting him mobile and out of bed as much as possible.

“He has been up and around. Our plan today is to have him eat and drink, be up out of bed,” said Dr. Brian Garibaldi, who is part of Trump’s medical team. “If he continues to look and feel as well as he does today our hope is to plan for a discharge as early as tomorrow to the white house where he can continue his treatment course.”
