The Rolling Stones and Beatle Paul McCartney have collaborated on a song for the band’s upcoming new album, according to Reuters.

A spokesperson for the Stones on Wednesday confirmed the rumor that had circulated earlier this week.

According to Variety,  McCartney recorded bass parts for an upcoming Rolling Stones project, and Ringo Starr may play on the yet-to-be-announced album.

The Rolling Stones have spent the past several weeks recording new music in Los Angeles with producer Andrew Watt, according to Rolling Stone.

The album is said to be close to the mixing phase, though no release date has been announced.

A spokesperson for the Stones confirmed McCartney “guests on bass on one song” for the album but said Starr had not been involved.
