A chair sold at popular retail chains is being recalled after reports of people being injured after falling.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of TJX Nest Swing Egg Chairs, saying they can tip over or collapse when someone is seated, causing them to fall. The CPSC said they had received 27 reports of the chairs falling or tipping, with 19 injuries reported including broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
More than 30,000 chairs were sold at Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods and Homesense stores across the United States from December 2018 through April 2022.
There are nine different styles of the chair, some of which were sold under the Tommy Bahama and Martha Stewart brands, Gizmodo reported.
The model numbers included in the recall are: PMK-6501, PMK-6503, PMK-6503-N, PMK-6505, PMK-6506, PMK-6507, PMK-6508, PMK-6509 and PMK-6510.
Consumers with a recalled chair should stop using it immediately and return it to the store where it was purchased for either a full refund or a refund in the form of a store gift card.
