The victim’s father told police that the family previously had issues with Jonathan, and that Jonathan had asked his grandfather to buy him a gun, but the grandfather refused, WPXI reported.
Police told WPXI the suspect first told them his mother left with her boyfriend, but after finding the body he said “it was self-defense,” and allegedly told police he got in a fight with her on Dec. 1 and strangled her with a phone charger.
Nulty is accused of telling police he “put her in the backyard because it was colder and he didn’t want her to smell,” and that he wanted to “dump her body in the river but he couldn’t lift her,” WPXI reported.
