PITTSBURGH — Police seized numerous turtle hatchlings Friday that were being sold illegally after discovering the tiny reptiles during a search of a Pittsburgh business.
Police found stacks of containers filled with the tiny turtles while executing a search warrant, WPXI reported.
Officials with Humane Animal Rescue took possession of the turtles.
“Anyone with knowledge of animal abuse or neglect are asked to call police,” investigators said on social media.
