Chick-fil-A to limit free sauces amid supply chain disruptions

ATLANTA — Chick-fil-A customers may soon notice a little something lacking in their orders.

According to an email obtained by WTRF, the Atlanta-based fast food chain has enacted new restrictions limiting the number of free sauces patrons get with each order.

The new restrictions limit customers to one sauce per entrée, two sauces per meal and three sauces per 30-count nuggets, according to the company email.

“Due to industrywide supply chain disruptions, some Chick-fil-A restaurants are experiencing a shortage of select items, like sauces,” a Chick-fil-A spokesperson told Today Food via email.

“We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience,” the spokesperson added.

Meanwhile, a Reddit user shared an image that appears to clarify instructions to Chick-fil-A staff for handling the shortage, emphasizing that the limit on sauces is per meal, not per customer, Today reported.

Specifically, the post appears to instruct employees to offer to sell customers an 8-ounce bottle of their sauce of choice if the amount of sauce they request exceeds the new guidelines.
