DETROIT — One person was killed and at least seven others were wounded after a gunman opened fire at a Detroit home early Wednesday, authorities said.
According to the Detroit Police Department, the alleged shooter found a vehicle parked in front of his home at about 2:40 a.m. EDT, WXYZ-TV reported.
The alleged gunman began shooting a weapon in the air and then went into his home, where he retrieved another gun, according to the television station.

Police said the suspect exited his home and shot at a house where a party was in progress, WXYZ reported.
Officials said that three of the victims were taken to an area hospital, according to WDIV.
The alleged shooter is currently in police custody, WXYZ reported.
The investigation is ongoing, with Michigan State Police investigating.
