Rapper Juice Wrld died Sunday morning after suffering a seizure at Chicago's Midway Airport, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to NBC News. He was 21.

Updated 11:58 a.m. EST Dec. 8: The singer, whose real name was Jarad Anthony Higgins, suffered a "medical emergency" in the airport's terminal after deplaning from a private jet, WMAQ reported. According to officials from the Chicago Police Department, the singer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the television station reported.

Original report: The Chicago-born singer, whose real name was Jarad Anthony Higgins, suffered the seizure while walking through the airport after deplaning from his California flight, TMZ reported.

Chicago police confirmed a 21-year-old man suffered a medical emergency at the airport about 2 a.m. after getting off a private jet, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The man was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead, the newspaper reported.

The cause of death has not been revealed. the Sun-Times reported.
