Teens Accused Of Threatening Mom, Son With Machine Gun

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. — Police said a Cobb County teenager brought a machine gun onto a high school campus.

Powder Springs police said Richard Jacobs, 18, of Powder Springs, drove to McEachern High School to pick up some students with the gun in his car on Friday.

Police said Jacobs and another teen, Brandon Fleetwood, 18, aimed the gun at a mother and her son at a nearby home.

Jacobs was charged with carrying a weapon in a school safety zone and assault. Fleetwood was also charged with assault.

Both remained in custody Thursday morning.
