LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A man wanted in connection with a Suntrust Bank robbery has hit a second Suntrust bank, and FBI agents are seeking the public's help in identifying him.
The latest bank robbery happened at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Suntrust Bank inside Publix grocery store in the 4800 block of Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville.
Brian Lamkin, special agent in charge with FBI Atlanta, said the robber opened a bag containing a handgun and pointed it at a teller while demanding money. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI said. The robber then fled on foot.
The same robber is believed to be responsible for the June 15 armed robbery of a Suntrust Bank, also located inside of a Publix grocery store, at 3435 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Atlanta.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Atlanta FBI office at 404-679-9000.
