ATLANTA — The manager of a popular Atlanta burger restaurant is promising to take action after a recent failed health inspection.
Flip Burger Boutique, located at 1587 Howell Mill Road in Northwest Atlanta, scored a 37 out of 100 during its inspection on March 9.
The inspector noted several violations, including food debris on clean knives, employees failing to wash their hands before putting on gloves and meat prepared at the designated vegetable sink.
"So for us, this was a time to re-check ourselves and ensure that we're doing everything possible to maintain quality," restaurant manager Rachel Joy told Channel 2 Action News.
Joy said the restaurant requested a re-inspection and received a score of 85 during its inspection on March 10.
Despite the improved score, the inspector still noted problems, including dirt build-up in the interior of the ice machine and clean dishes being contaminated by water splashing from the handwashing sink.
Joy told Channel 2 Action News that the management has reinforced the rules to the restaurant’s staff.

"We want to ensure cleanliness, health code, everything is up to standard, so for us, this is just a way to ensure that we're taking all the corrective action," Joy said.
Flip Burger received a near-perfect score of 99 in December.
Another inspection is expected this week. Joy said they are doing everything they can to get back to that "A" standard.
"We take this very seriously. Our guest experience is what's most important to us," said Joy.
