DALTON, Ga. — Dalton police released pictures and video of a man suspected of groping several women in a shopping center.
The man followed one woman out of a TJ Maxx store in the Walnut Avenue Kroger shopping center on July 18, stopped her to ask a question and then lunged forward to pull down her top, according to police. The victim screamed and then contacted police, but officers told Channel 2 Action News they could not find the man after an extensive search.
Police said the same man attacked two women four days later in front of a Belk department store, also on Walnut Avenue. The man stopped the women again to ask a question, then reached forward and grabbed one woman's breast.
Surveillance video recorded the man in both incidents, police said. Police described the man as approximately 20 years of age, with shaggy brown hair with an average build. The man was wearing an athletic shirt with white lettering and the number 5 on the back in the July 18 incident, and a light blue shirt and khaki pants in the July 22 incident, according to police.
Anyone with information on either case was asked to call Dalton police.
