Police Probe Deadly Shooting Outside Bowling Alley

CHAMBLEE, Ga.,None — A deadly shooting that happened in the parking lot of a Chamblee bowling alley is under investigation, authorities said.

The shooting happened Monday evening at Club 300 Bowling in the 2100 block of Savoy Drive.

Investigators told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ryan Young that the shooter said he was the victim of an attempted robbery and was forced to opened fire. A 31-year-old was shot multiple times and killed, police said.

The shooter then drove to West Paces Ferry and dialed 911, where he turned himself in to police and explained what happened, authorities said.

Investigators have not filed charges against the shooter. They are looking for a witness driving a silver Mitsubishi who may have seen the entire event unfold.

"That person is not a person of interest but we would like to talk to that person in a silver Mutsubishi to see what they did or didn't see," said Chamblee Police Chief Marc Johnson.
