Police Looking For Missing 17-Year-Old Girl

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Officials with the Clayton County Police Department said they are looking for a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday.

Police said Monica Ambriz, 17, was seen leaving the El Progresso #7 grocery store on Tara Boulevard on her lunch break. Three hours later, her mother saw an unknown Hispanic man driving Ambriz's vehicle on Tara Boulevard near Interstate 75, police said.

Officials said the vehicle was found abandoned a short while later and Ambriz's cell phone was inside. She has not been seen or heard from since, according to police.

Police said she may have been seen at the El Jungla restaurant on Metropolitan Parkway and she is known to frequent the Noa Noa club in Gwinnett County.

Police said she may have a fake ID in the name of Monica Sandoval.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Chris Helton at 770-477-3781.
