DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Sheriff's officials are investigating a killing at an apartment complex in Douglas County.
Investigators responded to the Birch Landing apartment complex in Austell after they got a call of suspicious activity and gunfire overnight.
They told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore they went door-to-door.
Deputies said they noticed the victim's door slightly open before going inside.
Investigators searched the neighborhood looking for evidence and found some things on the ground, including gloves.
Deputies said they are working several leads in the case.
Douglas County investigators are still processing the scene.
