ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a deadly stabbing in southwest Atlanta.
Investigators say a newspaper carrier found a woman in a yard on Mims Street around 3 a.m. Sunday. The woman has been identified as Phyllis Frazier, 51, of Riverdale.
Investigators say she may have been killed hours before she was found.
Darryle Crutcher says he woke up to investigators knocking on his door.
“(I) can’t believe it. You come to front door and a lady is dead in the front yard,"Crutcher said.
Police say no one in the neighborhood reported anything unusual. It is not clear if Frazier was killed in front of the house or dumped there after being stabbed.
