• Nintendo is back in a big way for 2016

    ATLANTA - Remember spending the majority of your childhood blowing into Nintendo video game cartridges to get them to play clearly on your knob-controlled television? Those days are over.

    Nintendo announced Thursday that its Nintendo Entertainment System is coming back but upgraded for 2016 and ready to be played on your HD television.

    The system will be sold for $60 and will be a near-identical, mini replica of Nintendo’s original home console.

    The console comes complete with 30 NES games built in, including beloved classics like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, PAC-MAN, and Kirby’s Adventure.

    The system comes packaged with an HDMI cable, an AC adapter and one NES Classic Controller, which is patterned after the iconic design of the original NES controller.
