Boy who underwent major surgery making strides

ATLANTA — A boy who underwent some major surgery is making progress.

Ethan underwent heart surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to repair transposition of the great arteries.

Due to the surgery, his parents weren’t sure if he would ever be able to play sports, according to a Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Facebook post.

However, this week Children's Healthcare of Atlanta learned that Ethan played his first soccer game and, in the words of his mom, “was running and kicking like he’d done it forever.”
