ROSWELL, Ga. — A maid discovered a body at the InTown Suites in Roswell on Thursday.
The extended stay motel is located in the 1100 block of Hembree Road.
Roswell police Lt. James McGee said the call came in just before 11 a.m. McGee said the second-floor room where the body was found was in disarray.
The victim was identified as 48-year-old Debra Black, of Canton. McGee said there were "some issues with the body."
A man staying at the motel told Channel 2's Erica Byfield that he was shocked by the discovery.
"I kind of got word that it is a death. It's kind of strange. It's pretty quiet around here," said Blake Johnson.
A representative for the InTown Suites told Channel 2 Action News that the safety of their guests is a top priority and that they are working closely with Roswell police.
