Everyone's favorite survey and rating system, Zagat, put together a list of the best places in Atlanta to celebrate New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
New Year’s Eve:
In Old Fourth Ward, 4th & Swift has a five-course meal with seasonal selections ($85 per person, $35 extra for wine pairings; 678-904-0160).
In Buckhead, Aria is celebrates New Year's Eve with an elaborate four-course meal. The second, third and fourth courses give diners the choice of dish ($95; 404-233-7673).
In Decatur, No. 246 is offering rich Italian touches on its four-course menu for NYE — agnolotti with chestnuts, lobster risotto, and the option to have chef Andrew Isabella hand-shave truffles tableside for an additional $15 ($60, $30 for wine pairings; 678-399-8246).
On the westside, JCT. Kitchen & Bar's Chef Brian Horn's New Year's Eve menu includes items like roasted duck, butter-poached lobster and more ($65, $35 for wine pairings; 404-355-2252).
In Marietta, the Common Quarter is not doing price fixing, it is rolling out a one-night-only, à la carte menu of indulgent ingredients like foie gras, caviar, bone marrow, black truffles and more (678-809-4040).
In Sandy Springs, Food 101 is offering live music from 8:30–11:30 p.m., and celebratory specials and cocktails throughout the night (404-497-9700).
New Year’s Day brunch:
In Buckhead, St. Cecilia is serving up coastal European fare with dishes like pasta dishes like tagliolini with housemade guanciale and egg, or a ricotta berry waffle. A selection of fresh-pressed juice elixirs does the recuperation trick (404-554-9995).
In Old Fourth Ward, Venkman's is serving up not only bottomless mimosas but also hosting a "hangover ball" at 9 p.m. featuring live music and drinks.
