COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit on Mableton Parkway over the weekend.
The victim, 31-year-old Vanessa Ordonez De Los Santos, of Mableton, was walking in the northbound lanes of Mableton Parkway near South Gordon Road when she was hit by a Nissan driver.
Driver Milton Ariaz, of Mableton, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid driver's license. Police said he did not suffer any injuries.
Investigators do not expect to file any additional charges in this case.
