WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — Loganville Middle School will have extra law enforcement on campus on Thursday after a potential threat involving the school, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators are looking into a threat posted on social media and are following school safety protocols, but the sheriff’s office has not released details about the post or the platform.

The Walton County School District has not announced any change to classes on Thursday or posted anything about the threat.

“We take any threat involving our schools very seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at Loganville Middle School tomorrow,” the sheriff’s office said. “Deputies will be on campus to provide additional security and to support school administrators in maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.”
Classes start at 7:30 a.m. The sheriff’s office is still investigating.
