ATLANTA — The legal issues surrounding the Chrisley family continue as Grayson Chrisley is asking a court to prevent the release of his medical records and drug and alcohol test results stemming from a 2022 car crash, according to TMZ.
The request comes as part of an ongoing lawsuit filed by Patrick Rykwalder, the driver involved in the crash.
TMZ reports that Rykwalder is suing Grayson Chrisley and other members of the Chrisley family.
According to court documents cited by TMZ, Rykwalder argues he should have access to Grayson Chrisley’s medical records through the discovery process.
The lawsuit references claims that Grayson suffered a concussion in the crash, and Rykwalder says the records are needed to verify the extent of those injuries.

TMZ reported that the dispute also centers on comments allegedly made by Todd Chrisley on a podcast in November 2022.
According to the report, Todd said he accompanied his son to the hospital following the crash and requested a toxicology test be performed.
The Chrisley family argues the records are irrelevant because Grayson Chrisley has already admitted liability for the crash.
They contend the records are not necessary to determine damages in the case.
TMZ says the crash happened in Tennessee in November 2022 when Grayson Chrisley, driving a 2020 Ford pickup truck, collided with a vehicle driven by Rykwalder.
Rykwalder claims Grayson caused the crash by not paying attention, while Grayson disputes that characterization. The lawsuit remains pending.
The legal developments also follow the high-profile convictions of Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, who were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May 2025 after serving prison time for federal bank fraud and tax evasion convictions.
A judge has not yet ruled on whether Grayson Chrisley’s medical records and test results will remain sealed from the opposing side in the lawsuit.
