‘They made it seem like I died:’ Grayson Chrisley opens up about Nashville car crash

ATLANTA, Ga. — In an interview released Tuesday, Grayson Chrisley, the 16-year-old son of Todd and Julie Chrisley, opened up about his recent car accident in Nashville.

Savannah Chrisley’s podcast, “Unlocked,” released an interview between the siblings about what happened the day of the car accident.

In November, Metro Nashville police said Chrisley was driving on Interstate 65 northbound when he hit a car that was stopped in the traffic lane.

Officials said when asked about what happened, Chrisley claimed he could not remember anything from the accident. However, officers at the scene said this was due to a possible head injury he sustained from the crash.

Chrisley was transported to the hospital after the accident, police said.

When he discussed his trip to the hospital, Chrisley said in the interview that he felt the media made his injuries sound more serious than he believed they were.

“They made it seem like I died,” he said. “[I saw] ‘Grayson Chrisley badly injured in a car accident,’ and I was like, bro, I’m fine.”

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

“The truck is not fine, but you’re fine,” Savannah Chrisley said.

During the interview, the siblings also discussed the power of social media and the role it played during the ordeal.

“I got DMs saying ‘surprised you’re not in the hospital,’” Grayson Chrisley said. “I was there for like four hours.”

Metro Nashville police have not released any further details regarding the crash or the identity of the other driver involved.

The siblings did not discuss their parents’ sentencing, which took place in late November.
