DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police have arrested a man in connection to the shooting death of a 26-year-old on the side of Interstate 285.
Raul Escobar-Paz, 45, was arrested in the fatal road rage shooting of 26-year-old Tyler Sieber near the Buford Highway exit on I-285.
Investigators took Escobar-Paz into custody at a Gwinnett County home approximately two months after Sieber was found shot and killed on the highway.
Escobar-Paz faces charges of malice murder, armed robbery and hit-and-run. He is being held without bond at the DeKalb County Jail.

Anton Sieber, Tyler Sieber’s father, told Channel 2’s Ashlyn Webb he and his son had just picked up a car from Facebook Marketplace and were getting onto the interstate in separate vehicles when a car driven by Escobar-Paz weaved between them.
Sieber said the driver appeared agitated before striking his vehicle.
“He was noticeably agitated by that and then as we got on 285, he just immediately hit me in the back end of my car, sending me into a tailspin in the middle of 285,” Anton Sieber said.
The vehicle that hit him pulled over briefly before speeding off.
After confirming his father was unharmed, Tyler Sieber decided to pursue the fleeing vehicle.
“My son, he told me he was gonna follow him since he saw that I was okay and that’s the last time I ever saw him,” Anton Sieber said.

Authorities said Tyler Sieber was taking pictures of the driver and the car when Escobar-Paz shot him, stole his phone and left the scene. Tyler Sieber died at the scene.
For nearly two months, the Sieber family searched arrest reports waiting for a break in the investigation. Anton Sieber expressed disbelief over the killing of his son.
“It’s like you work your whole life building your life, investing everything you have into your kids,” Sieber said. “And then they’re gone. And how somebody could do something like that, I don’t understand it.”
Reflecting on his relationship with his son, Anton Sieber said no outcome in the justice system can undo the loss.
“You know, he was my best friend,” Sieber said. “It was my son. He was that’s gone and nothing that they do is going to fix that.”
