Tuesday on GMA: DeKalb Co. bookkeeper who convinced gunman to surrender

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The DeKalb County bookkeeper hailed as a hero for her role in preventing a mass school shooting has written a new book.

Antoinette Tuff is scheduled to be on Good Morning America on Tuesday to talk about her new book, "Prepared for a Purpose: The Inspiring Story of How One Woman Saved an Atlanta School Under Siege."

Tuff was working in the front office at McNair Discovery Learning Academy Aug. 20, 2013, when police say a suspect entered the school with a rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition.

It was Tuff who kept 20-year-old Michael Brandon Hill talking and ultimately convinced him to surrender.

You can watch her interview on Channel 2, right after Channel 2 Action News this morning.
