These are the most popular baby names for girls in Georgia

ATLANTA — The Social Security Administration released its annual list of the most popular baby names for each state on Friday.

Last year, a new top girl name moved into the No. 1 spot. It didn’t give up the top ranking for 2022.

Olivia took the top spot in the Peach State, which was also the most popular girl name nationwide.

The Social Security Administration releases an annual list that tracks baby names given to boys and girls in every state, with names dating to 1880. The data is based on applications for Social Security cards and the data has been released every year since 1997.
