GLENDALE, Ariz. — If the world didn't love Taylor Swift before -- she won hearts over at her Glendale, Arizona, concert Monday night.
Swift recorded a song in 2012 in honor of Ronan Thompson, a 4-year-old boy who died of cancer. She wrote the song based on blog posts written by Ronan's mother, Maya.
Over the years, Swift only performed the song one time -- at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon.
Monday night, Maya Thompson attended Swift's concert and Swift decided to sing it for her.
She fought back tears telling Ronan's story.
Thompson, who was overwhelmed by the gesture, met Swift backstage and shared the moment on Instagram.
