GRIFFIN, Ga. — A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Griffin Wednesday evening, according to the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the 1700 block of Patterson Road in reference to someone being hit by a car.

Investigators learned that a silver Dodge Charger was involved in the crash and sped away after hitting the pedestrian.
They say the Dodge Charger is missing a mirror and has damage to its front quarter panel.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
There is no information on possible suspects at this time.
