Shaky Knees 2023: Everything to know about the Atlanta music festival this weekend

ATLANTA — The Shaky Knees Music Festival kicks off on Friday for its 10th anniversary at Central Park in Old Fourth Ward.

Shaky Knees Music Festival began in 2013 as a 2-day festival before it expanded to three days. It usually draws around 40,000 attendees each year.

Here’s what you need to know about the busy weekend.

LINEUP

The Killers, Greta Van Fleet and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline Friday night. Muse, Tenacious D and The Mars Volta will headline Saturday night. The Lumineers, Hozier and The Flaming Lips will headline the final night.

TICKETS AND TIMES

Most tickets for 1-day and 3-day passes are sold-out across the tiers. The only tickets available are verified re-sale through Ticketmaster, which can be found here.

The festival’s entrance is at the Civic Center off Piedmont Avenue near Pine Street. Gates are open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

PARKING

There is no parking available on-site for cars, but there are places for bikes to park.

Shaky Knees organizers are suggesting attendees take a ride-share to the festival. They said to make sure to type in the Civic Center entrance and not 400 Merritts Avenue or Central Park. There will be signs pointing toward the ride-share area off Piedmont Ave.

Attendees can also take MARTA. The Civic Center is less than half a mile from the entrance.
