ATLANTA — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Cherokee, Bartow, Forsyth, Union, Pickens, White, Gordon, Fannin, Gilmer, Dawson, Floyd, Lumpkin, and Towns counties until 1 a.m. Saturday.
Another line of storms is moving across the Alabama line into Georgia that may bring more severe storms.
A tornado warning for Chattooga and Walker counties was canceled just before 11 p.m.
