The Roswell Police Department said firefighters got a call earlier this week about a small dog that had fallen down a kudzu-covered embankment and gotten trapped beneath the vegetation.

Firefighters James, Berardi and Beldsoe immediately went to work to try to rescue the small pup, Thomas, and reunite him with his family.

Sweet photos show one brave firefighter braving the steep ravine to get Thomas out and then holding him in a towel once he was safe.
