COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The term “Grinch” may be overused in holiday stories, but this is one where it’s certainly fitting.
A man was caught on video going from house-to-house in west Cobb County, tearing down Christmas decorations on Christmas Eve.
We talked with neighbors in several subdivisions near Barrett Parkway who say their decorations were destroyed.
It appears the man also had an accomplice who drove their SUV as they went from house to house
Channel 2’s Justin Wilfon obtained two home surveillance videos of the person tearing down a Christmas tree and pulling off Christmas lights.
He also pushed down reindeer and broke off a snowman’s head, according to neighbors.
At this point, Cobb County police say they are looking into it. For that reason, we are blurring the person’s face in the videos.
Neighbors say they’re filing police reports and would like to see the men charged.
One neighbor tried to confront the man, but said the driver sped away at “70 to 80” mph.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
