Postal carrier dies after being run over by own mail truck

ROSWELL, Ga. — A female mail carrier died under unusual circumstances while delivering mail Saturday afternoon.

According to Roswell police, while the postal carrier was reaching out of her truck to put mail in a mailbox, she suffered some sort of medical condition. She then fell out of the truck and the truck proceeded to run over her. The truck then continued rolling into a nearby unoccupied parked car, alerting neighbors.

Rescued units arrived at the scene and tried to save her but she later died at a local hospital.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the woman as 47-year-old Margina Davis, from Ranger.

Authorities are unsure if Davis died from the medical condition or from being run over by the truck.
