FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — Fayetteville police are looking for a man who they say tried to kidnap a woman while she was jogging in her neighborhood.
Police say the attempted kidnapping happened just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, when the woman was approached by the man in his vehicle. The man pointed a gun at her and told her to get in the vehicle. The woman was able to run away before calling 911.
The man police are looking for is described as being in his early to mid-twenties, with Middle Eastern or Hispanic features, curly, unkempt hair and a full beard. He may speak broken English, police said.
He was driving a small red four-door passenger car, possibly an older model, with peeling paint on the hood.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-719-4227.
